When a guest enters a hotel room, they check the bed first. But when they want to relax, they head to the bathroom.
In our latest Showroom Series feature, we turn our attention to the shelves filled with wholesale hotel bathrobes and towels. This display isn’t just about storage; it is a palette of textures that allows hoteliers to curate a specific feeling for their guests.
1. The Robe: Waffle vs. Terry
Looking at our display, you will notice distinct differences in the fabric of the robes. Choosing the right one depends heavily on your hotel’s location and vibe.
The Waffle Weave: As seen on the left side of our shelves, these robes feature a honeycomb pattern. They are lightweight, breathable, and dry very quickly. They are the top choice for luxury spa hotels and warm climates.
The Plush Terry: On the right, we have the classics. Thick, heavy cotton terry robes scream “comfort.” They are essential for colder climates and high-end suites where the goal is to make the guest feel wrapped in a warm hug.
2. The Towel: It’s All About GSM
Beneath the robes, you can see stacks of pristine white towels. In the hospitality industry, quality is measured in GSM (grams per square meter).
Standard Rooms: Usually utilize a mid-range GSM that balances softness with drying speed for laundry efficiency.
Luxury Suites: Often feature high-GSM towels (600+) that feel denser and more absorbent.
3. Customization and Branding
White is the standard for hygiene, but it doesn’t have to be boring. As shown in our other displays, adding a simple embroidered logo or a colored piping edge to a robe can deter theft and increase brand recall. A custom embroidered bathrobe serves as a souvenir of a great stay.
